Sennowe Park — a unique film, TV and photoshoot location in Norfolk

Our facilities

Sennowe Park offers a wide variety of opportunities for the Film, TV and Advertising industries. The list of possible locations here is endless. The 70ft Winter Garden, built originally as a ballroom with its fine marble floor and columned fountain, and the 42ft Long Room can both be used quite simply as large capacity studios.

The Garden and Park can offer gracious and varied settings including the Boathouse at the edge of the lake, the 120ft high Water Tower with working belfry and the Walled Garden with a faded greenhouse the entire length of one side. There are particularly fine and magnificent Stables, as carriages were a great passion of T.A. Cook.

We are experienced in the demands of a busy crew having recently had filming for a blockbuster Bollywood movie with a crew of 125 filming here over a period of three weeks. Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot, Tales of the Unexpected, My Talks with Dean Spanley starring Peter O’Toole and Silver River’s reality series The Diets that Time Forgot, filmed for Channel 4 over a period of six weeks and hosted by Sir Roy Strong, have also all been filmed at Sennowe.

Recent photographic clients include British Vogue, Italian Vogue, Tatler, House & Garden, Conde Nast Traveller, Jack Wills, Mini Boden, Brora, Van Dal shoes, Fairfax & Favor, Pepe Jeans, Laura Ashley and the British fashion photographer Tim Walker.

We can provide a green room, storage facilities, limitless parking on site as well as organising caterers for the onsite crew.

As a member of the Historic Houses Association we adopt its standard contract. If you would like to discuss booking the house for a film, TV or advertising shoot please contact us.

Shoot & Stay

A particular feature is the capacity for the photographer, models and crew to stay on location on a bed and breakfast basis. This eliminates travel, and greatly enhances the working day. There are a variety of pubs and restaurants within 15 minutes drive. Sennowe is only 20 miles from both Norwich and King’s Lynn stations and half an hour from Norwich International Airport, making access very convenient. The house is equipped with broadband and wifi. Location & access

Three separate road access points make it easy for large numbers of cars to get into and out of the site safely and quickly. Furthermore, its position central to North Norfolk, and only 20 miles from Norwich with its international airport and railway station means that it is convenient to visitors from far and wide.
